Death is not the end.

In the very early hours of this day, my grandpa breathed his last breath.

He was the lone grandparent I had in this mortal existence.

Here he is with my grandmother.

It was death that separated them over 16 years ago. But today ... today, it was death that reunited them.

And what a joyous reunion it must have been.

Sorry for your loss, Mindy! But happy for their reunion. I lost my grandpa (my last grandparent as well) in April of 2013 and it was so bittersweet. It was so hard saying goodbye and knowing that I no longer had any grandparents on the earth, but it was and still is so exciting to know that he is with my sweet grandma again! I visited their grave on Saturday for Mother's Day and it brought up all of those emotions again. Thinking of you!!

I'm very sorry for your loss. The death of a grandparent is a terrible thing to go through. I'm also sorry that you had to deal with a lot of hard things the last couple of weeks. But know that there are hundreds of people from all over the world (I'm writing this from Belgium, so sorry for the typo's) that have your back, even if we don't know each other personally. Hugs.
