Last year at work, a group of us decided to collaborate with Halloween costumes. It was a smash.
I mean, obvi. We look awesome.
This year, we decided costume collaboration was the only way to go.
I chose something that suited me quite well. And I was thrilled.
Until my costume arrived and the company had sent the wrong one.
So, I ordered a second costume from a second company.
Imagine my excitement when it arrived! Just to open it and see that it was the same wrong costume the first company sent me!
Enter third company. Ordered my costume. And only after I ordered it did they tell me it was coming from China and would arrive on ... drum roll please, November 1st.
Canceled that order, quite frantically.
And finally, ordered the costume from a fourth company. I even sent them an email, pleading to them to send me the right costume, telling them that the other two companies had both sent me the same wrong costume!
Their response, "We assure you that we will send you the correct costume."
Guess what, guys? It arrived today.
AND ... IT WAS THE SAME WRONG COSTUME THE OTHER TWO COMPANIES HAD SENT ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BUT! Don't cry for me Argentina! I found a costume rental place here in town that is no longer renting costumes, instead they are selling them for relatively cheap. And they had the costume I needed.
P.S. While I won't tell you what my costume is right now, here is a hint ... it's what Pepto-Bismol and Cotton Candy would look like if they had a baby.
