Uhem ...

The uhem is a lot like the ahem ... but different for noticeable reasons.

Uhem.

My website gets roughly 75 unique visits a day {although yesterday it got nearly 200}.

So, pray tell ... Why do some posts only have three comments?

Seriously, even a post with 25 comments, that is only 1/3 of all visitors leaving a comment.

Uhem.

Why don't YOU leave comments?

Really. I expect you to answer that. In a comment, of course. Oxy-moron-ish? Sure. But do it anyway.

P.s. Those of you who do comment, feel free to tell me why you don't comment more. For those of you who comment on all of my posts ... I know who you are and you are getting 1,000 gold stars this very instant. Although, I may not update them today. Maybe tomorrow. ;)

I'll be waiting to read YOUR comment!

it's true - it is very boring at 3:42am! and, i rarely comment b/c i usually blog surf while nursing and it takes me forever to type one handed. kind of a lame excuse, if you ask me. :)

Well, this is my excuse: A lot of your readers leave very intellectual, creative comments. This is also how your blog posts are. I of course read your blog every time it is updated, but I hesitate to comment sometimes because I don't have something witty to say. Also, sometimes I check your blog a couple times...not sure if I read that one or not. That may explain why there are less comments and lots of visits....those of us who do occasionally comment log up your number a little bit. However, I still think you have a lot of secret admirers who are afraid to admit they love you :)

I pretty much comment on all of your posts because I always enjoy reading them. Also, I love receiving comments as well, and you usually leave me comments, so I want to return the favor! :)

Well, I think I probably comment on most of your posts. Occasionally there is a post where I don't feel I have anything to add. So why don't you comment on all of my posts? :)

oh comments. i have a love hate relationship with comments.

I think when I don't leave comments on someone's blog it is because I really don't know what to say to respond to their blog but I do enjoy reading them.

ok honey child, you need to chill about comments! People LOVE your blog, and they love YOU! I wish I could get 16 comments on things I write!! Nevertheless, I will still continue to comment. Only because it makes you happy. AND... you're hilarious.

oh I'm dumb. I just understood your post now. you were wondering about the people that look at your blog but don't comment. Wow I'm mean. I totally assumed you were dying for comments! wow, I'm pathetic!!

Don't feel bad, I have at least 80 people who follow my blog that I don't even know (plus, y'know, the people i DO know), but I usually only get a few comments on most posts. Then again, I'm not a big commenter. In fact, outside of my family, I probably comment on your blog the most... :)

I sometimes forget to leave comments on people's blogs because I read everything through my google reader... I guess it depends on if the post warrants a comment, and how often the blog-owner comments on my blog, which determines if they deserve the time it takes to leave a comment (or, in your case, I do it for the gold stars :) hehe...)

I have just recently come across your blog. Annnnd... I LOVE it. You are such a fun person!

Probably my favorite seminary teacher in my whole high school career.

Thank you!

-I occasionally still write down my "ah ha" moments.

I mostly look at your blog when I'm at work. Of course, only when it's slow though. No one has died yet because I was reading your blog. Anyways...the computer at work can be really uncooperative some days, and it doesn't always allow me to comment. So, it's the computer at work's fault.

I comment on EVERY post- star me up, baby. I am pretty consistently comment-oriented on all my friends' blogs. I understand how much I love comments for myself, so I like to spread the cheer, ya know?

One reason is that I don't check the blog regularly, so there are several posts to go through and any comment I leave is probably irrelevant by the time you get it. See this comment as an example. Another reason is that I'm often lost as to what you're talking about. Being outside the circle of Mindy's life leaves me out of the loop on the vague comments. I can comment, but it would simply be an attempt at understanding or maybe joking about something I have no knowledge about. So there's two reasons for me. =)
