OUTRAGED!

Is what I am!

What I have to say ... must be said.

I.hate.ESPN.

How dare you cut the final 10 minutes of a national championship event to cover a "potential" no-hit, and straight-up insignificant baseball game!?

And if that wasn't bad enough ...

{Photo from here.}

You cut out in the middle of this man's race!!

Yes, I learned tonight that if you cut out from a Bernard Lagat race ... I will be outraged!!

I may have even called ESPN giving them a piece of my mind ... the piece that was outraged. Naturally.

But in happier news ...

A kid celebrated his 10th birthday by breaking a world record ...

by wearing the most pairs of underwear at one time.

Can you guess how many he is wearing?

If you guess 215 ... you'd be right.

Wow.

P.s. ESPN ... I still loathe you.

Oh, and Bernard Lagat ... I am more than just a little bit in love with you.

At the risk of losing gold stars...I would rather have seen the baseball game. No-hitters are awesome. And it was against the Rays, and every game in that division this year is far from insignificant. The race in the AL East is going to be super close, and every game matters. But I understand why you would be outraged. :-)

You fail to see several points. First of all, what was the likelihood that any baseball fans were watching in the first place? You wouldn't have been watching the T&F nationals, so you had no possibility of seeing the no-hitter anyway! All it did was make a bunch of track-ers turn off their TV in outrage! :) Plus, NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP. That'd be like interrupting the last game of the national series to cut to the Prefontaine Classic. Which, I am sure means nothing to you {as in you don't even know what it is}, nor would everyone else who had originally tuned in to see the game! Pff. :) Still rolling my eyes. Lame, ESPN. Lame.

haha... I didn't know that happened, but that sucks. I was recently irritated with the fake amber alert that kept interrupting the final game of the NBA playoffs... who cuts the game with 10 seconds left for a fake missing child? grr....

How does anyone even come up with the idea of a world record such as wearing the most pairs of underwear? And why would you want to do it? It would probably just look like a gigantic diaper (it's a little hard to tell from the photo). Some people in this world have too much time on their hands.

NEVER would have guessed 215! Amazing. i hate ESPN, but for a different reason. But yeah, I'm with you on your reason too!

Wow, had no clue there was a world record for that. Did you find out the results of the race?

While I don't have the same love of track and field as you, I do rather loathe ESPN's decision to televise LeBron James' decision to sign with the Miami Heat. That was probably the worst case of self-aggrandizing I've ever seen!

P.S. - I know what the Steve Prefontaine Classic is!
