Uh ...

I may or may not have gone shopping today. To whom it may concern, I am over my shopping fetish. I am. Really. I just go occasionally now. Liiike, once a month.

I bought several articles of clothing at a well-known store ... As I handed the cashier my items she noticed one sweater and said, "I just loooove this sweater."

I never know quite what to say in these moments. "Thanks," as if I own it [because at the time, I still don't] ... Or, "Yeah, me too." Duh, that's why I am purchasing it.

Then to make matters worse, as she went through all the items and began folding them and putting them in the bag, she came back to said sweater and said, "I really do love this sweater."

Not only did I not know how to respond for a second time ... But then I thought, "Does she think my other clothes aren't cute? She could have commented on xx amount of other items but didn't."

Ugh. Over analyzing it all? You bet. But come on now folks, you shouldn't be too surprised about that.

Hope all your shopping sprees are less analyzed but as fruitful as mine are! :)

P.s. I love that I went to five different stores and saw eight people I knew in all the stores combined. I actually play a game when I go out to see if I can have an outing without seeing someone I know. As this one statistic can prove, I usually fail.

Oh Mindy, I heart you!!! By the way, I know you've texted me before about where to find modest dresses. Try mikarose.com! They have super cute things and it looks like they sell it at some places in Logan. :) Now you can do even MORE shopping!!

I think we need pictures of the sweater in question. Oh, and I think it would be fun for you to go shopping in disguise, then when you inevitably run into people you know, you can see if they recognize you. Hmmm, now I kind of want to try that.

You should take me shopping with you sometime and show me where to find cute clothes! I imagine you probably don't go anywhere without seeing people you know because you have so many friends!

Haha! I always think those moments are awkward as well, when the store clerk comments on something you're purchasing. I mean, what can you really say to that? Yes I know, I have fabulous taste.

Also, i'm going to take credit for Mikarose selling in Logan. I personally own two of their dresses, and they asked me specifically where they could sell in Logan, and it looks like they took my suggestion! So check them out. AND, if they send you the wrong dress (happened to me :) they will send you another one of your choice absolutely free!

I agree that I don't know what to say when the cashier comments on a purchase. At least it sounds like the sweater is really cute. You should post a picture of it. By the way, I love the pictures of your new place. You are an amazing decorator!

Yep, I was one of the lucky 8 you saw on your outing (parking lot of TJ Maxx). We live in Delta now, so I like to play that game too when I go out, except instead I see if I can go to town without seeing someone I am RELATED to (and I am usually unsuccessful)!
