The battle is on ...

There are a lot of changes going on around my apartment. First, I got a stain out of the carpet with Oxy Clean (RIP Billy Mays), which I am pretty excited about ... and a roommate moved out (more on that in another post maybe later. Most likely not).

As said roommate packed up her belongings I had a fabulous epiphany! I realized with her dishes gone that I would have enough room in the kitchen cupboards for my dishes. Take one wild and crazy guess what color they are.

But this is where the battle is officially on. Roommate #2, whom we will refer to as Lulu for confidential reasons, loves John Deere paraphernalia almost just as much as I love anything pink. Almost.

Case and point:

Seriously. Who knew they made John Deere dinnerware? I did not until I acquired John Deere Loving Roommate (truth be told, my last three roommates have been obsessed with John Deere. I somehow have managed to find the three most John Deere crazed fanatics in the entire universe and have lived with them) ... But the real question is, what would you rather eat your dinner on? Above photographed John Deere dinnerware or my dinnerware:

Super cute, no?

Now, if you recall this post, I am sure you will concur that I needed to find no other reason to enjoy eating more than I already do. Oh, well. :) Goodbye stain and hello pink dishes! Happiness, is mine. :)

***
Prepare for in the future more discussions on my John Deere obsessed roommates and how I must overtake them all with pink.

I'm curious....what do you eat on John Deere plates? I know what John Deere tractors pick up....and I sure don't want that on my plate...
Definately, PINK!

Did I ever tell you that I am obsessed with John Deere as well, and I was also your roommate!? HAHA just kidding. The only John Deere that I am associated with is the fact that my dad has a tractor. John Deere is for farm work, not for being pretty on a plate. So, I'll vote for the pink.

I am all about the pink!!! John Deere is for boys and they are dumb!!!!! ;) lol. Go Mindy and her pinkness

I'd for sure go with the pink, even if you have to throw an all-out-Mindy-fit, it's worth it. I just don't think John Deere quite fits with your image.

that question seems like a no brainer... definitely the pink dishes... now I want to find some like that for my new house :) super cute! 2 thumbs up! (p.s. wouldn't be a tragedy if you "accidentally" dropped some of the john deere dishes on the floor while unloading them or something??)

Definitely pink!- no john deere for me thanks (thats a little too country bumpkin for my taste) I was reading the post by Krystal and I dunno if the plates would break, they look like plastic???? Are they??? But if they're not you could have a "greek" party and do some plate smashing- OPA! ;)

Mindy, I don't mean to complain, but you never answered my question concerning specimen #8.

And the pink looks nice, but what's wrong with blue, or green, or brown, or even yellow? Emma seems to have the same color disorder that you do.

Honestly, my first thought was PINK, hands down! However, the John Deer ones are pretty tight...

Still... pink. Sorry Roommate #2!
*muah*

Pink is always better. I can't wait to see you either! We get in to SLC 8:00 sat. morning. If all goes well. Thank you for taking my side on the whole mold issue. Now I can't look at our blog until something new is posted!:) See you soon!

So, apparently most of your readers are not familiar with John Deere paraphernalia. I, on the other hand, am quite familiar with it. My parents have the John Deere plates, bowls and silverware (for whomever questioned above, all the dishes I've seen have been breakable). For our wedding we were given John Deere glasses and silverware. My mom gave our girls a little kid John Deere plate/bowl/cup set. I guess you might say my family is obsessed with John Deere.

Now, for a side note, I have never even unboxed the John Deere paraphernalia in my house. I like green, I have many green dishes, but I'm not that into tractors.

I do like your pink dish set. Have you not found pink silverware yet?
