Procrastinating ...

For some reason I am hesitating to add up all golden stars and announcing a "winner." I would hate to think that it would make some of you feel as "non-winners." Anyone who has a golden star, or even half of a golden star, is a winner in my book ... Mm-k?

These are some of my thoughts from the weekend:

1. I need a husband so he can brag about me on my blog and visa versa. Right now I am not sure who or what to brag about. The only thing I know for certain is no one is bragging about me. It's tough. I just want to fit into the blogging world.

2. Pretty much everyone is domestic. Pretty much everyone but me. I see so many people doing/making the most amazingly creative, adorable things and showing them on their blogs and then I realize: I cannot even cook Ramen noodles. (But I have an idea in the works ... just you wait and see what I can do when I get creative!)

3. I got overlooked by a guy for a near-college graduate Dairy Princess. Seriously. Should people still being doing the Dairy Princess thing when they are in college (let alone, almost ready to graduate college)? Standing on a float in a gawky-orange prom dress with sequins, a crown, and waving as that float travels down the route of the Days of 47 parade? Need I remind you: I got overlooked. And, she did not. Uh, what?

4. Same guy overlooked me for a 19-year-old who doesn't know what the word prostate means. Hmmm ...

5. He has been known to read this blog occasionally. Here's hoping for not today. If so, oops??

6. Was the Dairy Princess and 19-year-old thing mean? I guess I am just starting to be unethical all the time now. And guess what? I liiiike it!

7. Shout-out to Brady for finding me the most perfect red shoes to go with my new dress! Thank you!

To everyone else: have a fantastic day ... unless you had other plans. :)

Three golden stars (to be added for your new running total) to anyone who read this entire post and 10 more for anyone who can tell me what's been changed on this blog that has been the same since July 2008. :)

Ha ha. Totally agree, the dairy princess queen thing kills me. And prostate?! Really? I hope your crazy over-looker reads your post in it's full glory. Ha!

You silly girl your are too creative! One of the most creative people I know of. You always crack me up! So don't think you aren't domestic, although I am really excited to see what you come up with! :)
I am really excited to finally get some gold stars since I read this whole post. I really enjoyed it too so how about throwing in a few extra gold stars ha!

so here's my funny story for the day... I read blogs in google reader, so I don't actually SEE the blog til later... but as I read your question about what changed for the first time since July 08, I immediately thought "OH, Brian must be off the needs to be kicked list!" And indeed, as I came to check, I was right! Go me. + 10 :)

My running total is now 1,463 (10 for notcing the change, and 3 fore reading to the end... this is assuming that all my requested stars are awarded, or course! :) otherwise my total is 207, which is sad...)

also, I know a former dairy princess, does that count for anything? :) (you are WAAY cooler than her!)

Here's my question Mindy...would you really WANT a guy who chooses to date dairy princesses and 19-year-olds who are vocabular-ically/anatomically uninclined?? :) Nope...you deserve WAY better! (And for the record, I don't have a crafty bone in my body either!)

I'm not crafty either. I look at crafty blogs and get all excited sometimes when I see something cute but when I start to read the directions and it says words like, "sew", "glue", or "paint" I give up.

I noticed Mike being off the "needs to be kicked" list before I clicked on comments so please award me accordingly.

I did part of my dietetics internship with the Utah Dairy Council and I had to pass out string cheese for Halloween at the Hogle Zoo one day. They made me wear a pink "Got Milk?" T-Shirt and moms kept saying to their kids, "Look, it's the dairy princess!" and I'd have to correct them. I don't know if it's worse to be passed up for a dairy princess or to be mistaken for a dairy princess. You decide.

Ok, me =not domestic either. It's ok. Boys are dumb and I hate them. I would tell you that boys outside of UT have NO interest in 19 year olds or dairy princesses, but they're not the good mormon boys we're supposed to like either. I have several letters in to the first presidency on this.

Hi Mindy,

(I don't know if you remember me, but just so you aren't stuck wondering who the heck I am and why I am commenting on your blog I will tell you that I am Rhonda's friend Lindsey and we met at Tummi Yummis a few weeks ago. You will probably remember me because we were the only unmarried ones there. Solidarity. yeah.)

Anyway, I just wanted to say that any guy who would ditch you for a girl who probably just learned to spell her own name, or one who goes cavorting around pretending to represent cows while probably not even knowing how cheese is made, is just lame. Maybe you should nominate him for Dairy Prince. I don't think that would be at all unethical:)

And as for domestication... I think it is all relative and as long as there is somebody less domestic than you you're ok. That's my story anyway and I'm sticking to it.

I don't know what Diary Princess IS... does that make me cooler?
*muah*

Love you!

...well, Mike is off the "To be kicked list"...and I read the whole post. AND I have a surprise for you....I'll let you know when it is ready. Oh, and I'm not pregnant, just in case you thought that might be the surprise. :)

So, does the dairy princess eventually become a "Dairy Queen"? Who would want that? His loss! And...she better learn about the word prostate....maybe she should "google" it! As far as your blog...yes, no pic on top and Mike finally isn't going to be kicked anymore! It actually doesn't look right with his name not there!

As for my total number of Golden stars....I have lost track, but that's okay because I know I've got some in hidden accounts somewhere! Could you help me find them? lol

I love your blog. If I were a guy, I wouldn't want to admit to anyone that I was dating a "Dairy Princess." I would also deny it if anyone asked. It just sounds weird in a cheesy way, right?
Also I read this whole post. Now, am I supposed to be keeping track of my stars or are you keeping a running total for each friend?
I remember your old "People to Kick" lists at EFY. I miss them. Thanks for never putting ME on that list! :D

Of course I read the whole post. Your posts are far too entertaining to skip anything. (I'm just getting here, though, because I was out of town with no internet access for a whole week, I barely survived.) But, alas, I did not realize what had changed until reading other comments. So just 3 stars for me.
