Mayday! Mayday!

Uh ... everything I read about marathon training says two months is not enough time to prepare. I'll be honest, I'm a little worried. Oh, well. :)

haha. sorry that I laughed at this post. Realistically, I should feel worried for you. But, it was funny okay? Two months is AMPLE amount of time to prepare to run 23.7 (?) miles!

P.S. LOVE the Olympics countdown.

And, I know that I already commented on your blog...but I am just waiting for you to post again. So, I will just tell you that I JUST noticed that you now have the maiden names of your friends on the side-bar of your blog-lists, and THANK YOU for putting the maiden names! I have found at least 5 new friends! :-)

You are the RUNNING QUEEN! I have no doubt that 60 days is plenty of time to train....BTW, what happened to inspiring olympic moment number 3.....? It has disappeared from your blog?

Tee-hee. You can kind of do it in two months. Chris and I did it in about two and a half and basically our training schedule was running 5 days a week 30-60 minutes, except for the long run. Our long runs went like this: 10, 13, 13, 15, 15, 18, 18, 22, 10, MARATHON. Yeah. So it can be done, depending on your fitness right now. However, I don't know if this is the best way to do it, haha. Also, the theme of our marathon was "Don't give up your life!", so we probable weren't as... focused... as we should have been. I'm sure proper nutrition (also, laying off the booze) and sleep are key factors in all of this, but they were mostly ignored.

Anyway, I think you can do it. I bet you have a enough of a base that you can jump in and be ok. Good luck! - Jen

remember when i started training for a marathon and i asked you about it because i thought you had run 17 marathons? i am shocked to hear you have not run one. SHOCKED!! but thank you for encouraging me to train for one anyways...even though i never ran it and stopped running when it turned the deathly cold that chills your bones and makes you never want to live in utah :)

So I think that you will be ready I think that anyone who hasn't run as much as you have would suffer but you are a pro at this...no need to worry. And the pet scan went how it usually go I won't know anything till I go to the doctor on Tuesday.

Mindy! I am so excited for you to run the marathon, you will love it! Your job sounds sweet and I am so glad we've found each other over blogging!

Mindy,
I want to hear how 26.2 goes. Miriam wants to run the half and so if you wanted to run that as part of your training she would probably run with you.
You are swell. Good luck.

You too, huh? I'm to the point where I'm thinking about pushing my marathon back to one in Idaho in October. I don't understand why my body can't just run 26.2 miles on the spot.

3 things:
1. You can do a marathon!! You are the best runner I know.
2. Where can I get a sexy tractor sign for MY kitchen??? That's freakin awesome!
3. I am obsessed with Realize, so I picked that song (and I just saw it live on Monday and it was great!)
